The Gan

   Along the main hallway at The Gan preschool in Sarasota, I created a series of five‑by‑nine‑foot murals, each one painted inside a bright white “window” frame. The scenes are playful and cartoon‑like, designed especially for children five and under. On every windowsill, I added small Trompe L’oeil surprises—familiar classroom objects the kids used daily—so the artwork felt connected to their world. And as always, my red string makes an appearance in each mural.
